Military Medal 'During the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th August, 1916, Sapper JONES assisted Sergeant SHARP in keeping forward communication from CHALK PIT. During the above period he showed great devotion to duty. Was always keen for duty, and on several occasions he went out and mended telephone wires under terrific fire. Military Medal awarded 28th August, 1916.'
