Embarked Sydney on HMT 'Borda', 17 August 1918.

Admitted to hospital at sea, 16 September 1918; discharged, 20 September 1918 (tonsilitis); disembarked London, 27 September 1919; attached to 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 28 September 1918; detached from duty, 14 October 1918. Proceeded to France through Folkestone, 15 October 1918; posted to 3rd Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, 16 October 1918.

Admitted to 3rd Australian General Hospital, 23 October 1918, and transferred to 2nd Stationary Hospital, Abbeville; discharged to duty, 5 November 1918; posted to 9th Australian Field Ambulance, 5 November 1918; attached for duty with Australian Corps School, 27 February 1919; attached for duty with 11th Field Ambulance, 19 March 1919. Transferred to Australian Corps School, 26 April 1919; moved out, 8 May 1919. Proceeded to England from Australian Base Depot, 13 May 1919; disembarked Southampton, 14 May 1919, and marched into No 3 Group, Codford; granted leave to attend College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, 17 May 1919.
