Military Medal 'On the night of the 19th and morning of the 20th September, 1917 at WESTHOEK RIDGE near YPRES Signaller KIDGELL went several times through the enemy barrage and successfully repaired telephone lines to forward guns. On the morning of the 20th September he also did the work of runner very effectively notwithstanding persistent enemy shelling.'
