Meritorious Service Medal 'For devotion to duty and consistent good work with the Battalion Transport. When the Battalion has been in the line he has almost always had charge of the ration limbers and by his persistence and devotion to duty, always succeeded in getting same to the forward troops. This Non Commissioned Officer has been a member of the Battalion Transport Section since it left Australia and has never been absent from any cause.'
