Military Medal 'Whilst working with the regimental pack train, taking stores forward near MESSINES, 7th/10th June 1917, this N.C.O. showed great coolness and resource under fire and set a fine example to his party. On two occasions when his party came under heavy shell fire, he rallied his drivers and in darkness reached the unloading spot, parked the stores correctly and by his cool judgement brought his train back with light casualties.'
