Admitted to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, Gallipoli, 6 December 1915; transferred to 24th Casualty Clearing Station, Mudros East, 10 December 1915; to HS 'Aberdonian', 10 December 1915; taken on strength of 54th Divisional Base Depot, Mudros West, 7 January 1916; discharged to duty, 16 January 1916; disembarked Alexandria from 'Empress Britain', 21 January 1916, and marched into Overseas Base, Cairo; rejoined 25th Bn, Ismailia, 20 February 1916. Transferred to 2nd Pioneer Bn and taken on strength, Moascar, 13 March 1916. Embarked Alexandria and proceeded to join the British Expeditionary Force, 19 March 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 26 April 1916.
