The AIF Project

'The work performed by this W.O. during the period 25th February 1918 to 17th September 1918 has been of the highest order. During the months of February and March he acted in the capacity of R.S.M. and in that capacity performed very valuable services in the supervision of dumps, despatch of material to all portions of the sector, which was then being brought to a high state of defence. His able supervision at the dumps greatly facilitated this work. During April, May and June, he carried out his Company duties with his Unit in the HAMEL Sector, and there displayed great zeal in performance of his many duties, and set a very high standard to his Company N.C.O.s. During the continuous operations from August 8th to September 10th his constant devotion to duty was of the highest order, and his excellent supervision of ration dumps even under the most trying circumstances was largely responsible for the fact that his unit never once failed to obtain at least one hot meal during every day of the period in question. The excellent work performed by this Warrant Officer at all times has proved the greatest value to this Unit.'
