Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 30 August 1915.

Admitted to 6th Australian Field Ambulance, 7 November 1915 (influenza and Gastritis), and transferred to Casualty Clearing Station; to 15th General Hospital, Alexandria, 15 November 1915 (appendicitis: 'dangerously ill'); condition 'improving', 5 February 1916; 'dangerously ill', 12 February 1916.

Died, 14 February 1916 (appendicular abscess).
