Military Medal 'At HOOGE during the operations along the MENIN ROAD on the 20th September, 1917, Lance Corporal MOORE whilst proceeding to the frong line noticed a heap of ammunition boxes in close contact with a stack of filled grenade boxes, set alight by enemy shell fire. At great personal risk he extinguished the fire, thus preventing many casualties there being much transport traffic at the time.'
