Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty, on 27th September,1918, near Ypres, with the leading battery, which came under heavy shell fire, and suffered many casualties. Ignoring all danger, he established an aid post on the roadside, and attended to thre wounded. Later in the day, when the batteries moved further forward, he visited all the gun positions, and attended to the wounded.'
