Military Medal 'During the whole day of SEPTEMBER 29th 1918, East of RONSSOY, No. 718, Private FRANK ALDRIDGE showed conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. Attached to the most forward Company, which was engaged on an exceedingly difficult and dangerous task in opening up the Blue road immediately in rear of the Infantry, he constantly delivered reconnaissance reports along roads that were swept by artillery and direct machine gun fire, to B.H.Q., thus enabling reports to be expeditiously forwarded to higher authorities. Immediately after ZERO, when the attacking troops had lost most of this Officers, Private ALDRIDGE greatly assisted, by his courageous conduct in organising large parties of American soldiers, and directing them to their most foremost positions. His utter disregard of personal safety, his untiring energy, coolness and courage under trying and adverse conditions is worthy of every recognition.'
