Military Medal

'Near POLYGON WOOD east of YPRES on 20th October 1917, this Driver was one of two with pack horses taking rations to Battery. At the time the Battery and surrounding area was under a heavy area shoot by the enemy. The other Driver was badly wounded. Dvr. PAGE with great coolness went to his assistance and placed him in a Regimental Aid Post near by and then delivered his own load to the Battery - afterwards going in search of the other horses - found them and brought them back to the Battery position. He then collected the horses and returned safely to the wagon lines. His conduct on this occasion was quite typical of the way he always does his work.'
