Medals |
Military Medal 'When in action at PLOEGSTEERT on the morning of 31st May. 1917, the Officer commanding Y.S.A. Battery became a casualty. This N.C.O. immediately took charge of the guns and commanded them with great skill throughout both the 31st May and 1st June, 1917. The enemy shelled his positions heavily during both days, but by his example and courage Sergeant PERROTTET kept all his guns in action, and carried out all the tasks allotted to them most effectively. This N.C.O. has previously been mentioned in Despatches, and I now recommend that he be awarded the Military Medal.'
