Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty on 6th and 7th September 1918, during an advance on Roisel. He worked continuously for 48 hours in charge of the evacuation of the wounded from the forward aid posts. Although the area was heavily shelled, he got his ambulance cars right up and cleared the wounded with great rapidity. His energy and perseverance set a splendid example to those working with him.'
