Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty while in charge oftwo Vickers guns during an attack. He pushed his guns forward into a dangerous gap between his brigade and the brigade on the left, and he rushed two machine gun nests, capturing thrity five prisoners and six machine guns. He showed great courage and initiative.'
