Medals |
Military Medal 'At BOISE DE CHREPY on the 10th August 1918 during the counter attack by the enemy, this N.C.O. took charge of a party of 30 men and on his own initiative delivered ammunition and bombs to the front line where it was urgently needed. In doing so this party had to pass through terrific machine gun and snipers fire, safely distributing the ammunition to the posts. He personally saw that the ammunition party was sent back to Supports and again on his own initiative went out to get touch with the company flanks. His acts showed dogged determination and assured the safety of his Company positions.'
