Military Medal 'During operations east of PROYART, ON 23rd/26th August, 1918, Private WILKINS displayed great bravery. When the enemy counter-attacked down a communication trench he rushed in at once and with great energy and recklessness threw German stick grenades beating the enemy back yard by yard until he was almost exhausted. He was the spirit of the defending party.'
