Embarked Sydney, 22 March 1918; disembarked London, England, 24 May 1918, and marched in to Australian Army Service corps Training Depot.

Proceeded overseas to France, 10 July 1918; taken on strength, 6th Australian Motor Transport Company, 24 August 1918. Detached to 2nd Heavy Repair Shop, 24 December 1918; rejoined unit from detachment, 3 January 1919.

Admitted to 15th Australian Field Ambulance, 8 January 1919 (haemorrhoids); discharged to duty and rejoined unit, 9 January 1919.

On leave to United Kingdom, 16-30 March 1919; rejoined unit, 2 April 1919. Transferred to 3rd Motor Transport Company, 24 May 1919.

Marched out to England, 14 June 1919. Granted leave with pay and subsistence for Non-Military Employment, 19 June-19 September 1919: reason - civil engineering with H. Cutler, City Surveyor, Belfast.
