Military Medal 'At STRAZEELE, FRANCE on 22nd May 1918 for conspicuous bravery and skill of the highest order. Sergeant BRUGGY left our lines by himself in daylight advanced 500 yards, located an enemy post, shot the sentry dead with his revolver and as the garrison showed fight rushed the post killing and wounding the remaining three men. After collecting their identity discs BRUGGY returned to our line. He acted with great coolness and sound judgment throughout.'
