Admitted to 8th Field Ambulance, Serapeum, 31 January 1916 (adhesions, knee); transferred to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 3 February 1916; discharged to duty, 10 February 1916; rejoined Bn, 11 February 1916.

Transferred to 57th Bn, 17 February 1916.

Transferred to 60th Bn, Tel el Kebir, 15 March 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Letter, Base Records to mother, 13 May 1918: [T] Officer Commanding 60th Battalion, states that the "only information obtainable within that Battalion is that Pte. Condon was last seen going over the parapet in attack opposite Fromelles, France, on 19th July, 1916. The spot at which he was last seen is about 20 yards south of Pinney Sap."'
