Commenced return to Australia from Suez on board HT 'Ascanius', 2 September 1916; arrived Sydney, 29 September 1916. Re-embarked on board RMS 'Karmala' with 6th Light Horse Regiment, 23rd Reinforcements; disembarked Suez, 11 March 1917. Taken on strength, 2nd Light Horse Training Regiment, 26 March 1917.
