Meritorious Service Medal 'During the period September 17th to December 31st, 1918, this Non Commissioned Officer has done excellent work in the capacity of Quarter-Master Sergeant. Throughout the heavy operations leading up to the cessation of hostilities, he has never failed in the smallest detail of his duty. His coolness and devotion to duty have on many occasions been the means of keeping the battery in action, owing to his quickness in getting up spare parts to the guns. Q.M.S. DAVIES has been with his battery from the arrival of the Divisional Artillery in FRANCE, and his consistent work has been a fine example to all ranks.'
