Military Medal 'MOUQUET FARM, on afternoon of 4th September, 1916, he patrolled right sector of trench during bombardment, and on night of 4th September, 1916, and morning of 5th September, was on detached post with. Private IVORY and BERRIMAN for an hour afterwards visiting the post at intervals, and on two occasions during the night he patrolled on down the trench to the left to the barricade to find if the enemy had occupied it.'
