'Was indefatigable throughout the operations 27th March, 1917 to 3rd April 1917 North of LAGNICOURT in carrying messages along his company outpost Line and from Company Headquarters to Battalion Headquarters. He was constantly under rifle and Machine Gun fire in the open until on the last mentioned date he was wounded.'
