Joined Signal Service Depot, Poona, 9 February 1918. Proceeded to Bombay for embarkation for Egypt, 22 March 1918; embarked for Egypt, 31 March 1918; disembarked Suez, 10 April 1918.

Found guilty, 14 June 1918, of while on active service (1) forcing a sentry, (2) attempting to escape while under arrest on 11 June: awarded forfeiture of 14 days' pay.

Marched out to 1st Light Horse Training Regiment, Moascar, 29 June 1918; transferred to 1st Light Horse Regiment, 1 July 1918. Detached to Duran Area Stores Guard, 17 August 1918; rejoined Regiment, 24 August 1918.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Ulimaroa' from Kantara, 13 March 1919; arrived Melbourne, 19 April 1919, to disembark Sydney; discharged, 24 May 1919.
