Medals |
Military Medal 'Throughout the operations of 8th August 1918 east of AMIENS, this stretcher bearer's behaviour was heroic. His keenness and desire to help could not have been surpassed. He tended the wounded under heavy fire from artillery and Machine Guns and displayed an utter disregard for personal safety. He worked throughout the day and night carrying wounded from his own and other battalions and would not rest until there were no more wounded to collect. Again during the attack on FRAMERVILLE on 9th August 1918 his work was of the same high standard.'
