Wounded in action, El Arish, 9 January 1917 (gun shot wound, hand and right side); admitted to 1st Lowlands Field Ambulance, 12 January 1917, and transferred same day to 24th Stationary Hospital; to 14th Australian General Hospital, Abbassia, 17 January 1917; discharged to Details, Moascar, 1 February 1917.
