Meritorious Service Medal

'For consistently good service and devotion to duty from 25th February to 16th September, 1918. Cpl. THOMAS has carried out his duties as Corporal in charge of the Battalion Canteen with great zeal and throughness. He worked night and day to provide comforts for his comrades. His splendid efforts have resulted in reducing the hardships of the men in the front line.'
